Preschool Outreach Coordinator

The Allegheny County Library Association Mobile Library Services is seeking a creative, energetic and knowledgeable individual to fill in for the Preschool Outreach Coordinator. This position will last no less than 4 weeks and possibly as long as 6 weeks. Great experience for MLS or Preschool Education student.

Position Title: Preschool Outreach Coordinator, temporary

Position Requirements Library experience preferred, experience working with preschool age children required. MLS from an ALA-accredited program or equivalent early childhood education degree a plus. ACT 33/34 Clearance required. Valid PA driver's license and car required. Responsibilities include delivery of programming and outreach to preschool facilities, overseeing the circulation of materials on board the preschool bookmobile. Knowledge of and appreciation for children's literature, audio-visual materials, web sites, professional resources a plus. PC skills a must, with either experience or the ability to learn the automated circulation control system.

Work Hours: Full-time or part-time depending on availability and schedule. All daytime hours, normally ranging from 8 AM - 3 PM.

Salary: Hourly wages, commensurate with experience.

Time frame: Ranging from late September through mid-November
