Conversation Salons

Older adults of all ages exchange ideas in these "off line" chat rooms to encourage seniors to live in the present, to become more knowledgeable about today's issues, to share valuable personal experiences with others and to enjoy interaction with other thinking adults.

Each salon is led by a trained facilitator. Each group is responsible for selecting their own discussion topics. The only guideline is that the topics focus on "here and now" issues. Salons meet on a monthly basis in public libraries throughout the county. Each session lasts approximately two hours.

This program is brought to you by ACLA and participating member libraries. There is no fee to participate. To find out more about Conversation Salons and participating local libraries, download the brochure below or contact ACLA at 412-921-1123.
